I’m Peggy Froh Asseo, an amateur photographer based in Evanston, Illinois. I have dabbled in photography throughout my adult life but began to get serious when my work for animal welfare non-profits demanded photos that better showcased the animals needing loving new homes. From there I moved into natural light portrait work, featuring both two- and four-legged subjects. As my international travel increased, I became intrigued with the way that photographs can highlight the similarities and differences of how we live.
All of my subjects have enriched my life. However, I most love to point my camera at anything that walks, crawls, swims, runs, slithers, or otherwise moves of its own accord. Although from time to time I do a photo shoot or wedding, I primarily use photography as a way to celebrate the things that I care about. This website is a personal reflection on the travels, family, friends, colleagues, and animals who have graced my life. The content is evolving so I request your forbearance and welcome your suggestions. Thank you and enjoy!
